The Wiley X Valor three-lens set combines Clear, Grey and Light Rust options with a high-wrap Matte OD Green frame. The interchangeable system supports bright outdoor, untinted reduced-light and contrast-enhancing conditions, while the complete frame-and-lens system has been assessed against a defined military fragment-impact requirement.
Product description
Grey reduces brightness in strong sunlight, Clear provides an untinted view indoors and in reduced light, and Light Rust increases contrast in medium- to low-light conditions. All three lenses fit the same frame, allowing the configuration to be adapted as light conditions change.
The semi-rimless Base Curve 8 frame follows the face closely. Rubberised nose pads and rubber-tipped temples add grip at the frame’s contact points.

The frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon. Its Matte OD Green finish provides a muted, non-glossy green appearance.

Clear
89% light transmissionThe Clear lens allows a high proportion of available light through without adding a tint, helping colours retain their natural appearance. It is intended for indoor use, dawn, dusk, haze and overcast conditions.
Grey
15% light transmissionThe Grey lens reduces brightness and general glare in strong sunlight while keeping colours close to their natural appearance. It is intended for bright outdoor conditions rather than reduced-light environments.
Light Rust
52% light transmissionThe Light Rust lens filters selected blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where distinguishing details may otherwise be more difficult.
All three lenses are made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Their T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432A, EN.166S.
ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact requirements. These include tests using a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.
MIL-PRF-32432A
Assesses the complete frame-and-lens system against a defined American military fragment-impact requirement. Test velocities vary according to the relevant eyewear category.
EN.166S
Assesses the complete eyewear using a specified steel-ball impact. The lenses must remain within the frame without shattering, and the frame must remain intact under the defined test conditions.
