The Wiley X Ovation CAPTIVATE™ Tungsten Mirror combines a 14% light-transmission lens for bright daytime airsoft, hardball and outdoor use with a lightweight Matte Black/Tan, medium-wrap frame. Its Grey-based CAPTIVATE™ lens increases contrast and colour distinction across intense sunlight and periods of light cloud cover. The complete eyewear has been assessed against defined ANSI impact requirements.

CAPTIVATE™ technology manages selected wavelengths to increase contrast and help colours and visual details appear more distinct. The Grey lens base keeps colours close to their natural appearance, while the 14% light transmission suits bright daytime conditions.
The Base Curve 6 frame provides a medium-wrap profile and is made from lightweight Triloid™ Nylon. This Tungsten Mirror configuration is not identified as polarised.

Customers who prioritise polarised glare reduction from water or other reflective surfaces should choose a configuration explicitly identified as polarised.

CAPTIVATE™ Tungsten Mirror
14% light transmissionCAPTIVATE™ technology manages selected wavelengths by separating areas of overlapping blue, green and red light. This increases contrast and helps colours and visual details appear more distinct. The Grey base maintains a broadly natural-looking colour balance. The lens is intended for intense sunlight and bright daytime conditions, including periods of light cloud cover. It is not identified as polarised and should not be expected to provide the reflected-glare control of a polarised filter. The lenses also filter selected short-wavelength blue light associated with atmospheric haze and block UVA, UVB and blue light at wavelengths up to 430 nm.
The lenses are made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Anti-reflective coating: Reduces distracting reflections from the rear surface of the lenses.
Oleophobic coating: Helps reduce smudges and makes oil, dirt and moisture easier to remove.
T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact requirements. These include tests using a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.
