Designed with fishing in mind, the Wiley X Founder combines a CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Green Mirror lens with a lightweight Matte Graphite frame. The 12% light-transmission lens reduces glare reflected from water and increases contrast in bright, changing and slightly overcast daytime conditions.

Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal glare reflected from the water’s surface, while the lens also filters high-energy visible light reflected from white and blue objects. This helps reduce reflected-light interference when viewing the water and observable features beneath it where conditions allow.
The CAPTIVATE™ Green Mirror lens uses a Copper base to make green, orange and blue tones appear more vivid and easier to distinguish. Its combination of polarisation, colour separation and contrast enhancement gives this configuration a focused role in fishing and other daytime activities around reflective surfaces.

Recommended use
The WX Founder Green Mirror configuration is particularly suited to fishing in bright or changing daytime conditions. It is most relevant where reflections from the water’s surface may interfere with the wearer’s view.
The configuration can also be used for daytime driving and other outdoor activities involving reflective surfaces.

CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Green Mirror
12% light transmissionThe CAPTIVATE™ lens manages selected wavelengths by separating overlapping blue, green and red light. Its Copper base increases contrast and makes green, orange and blue tones appear more vivid and easier to distinguish. Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal light reflected from surfaces such as water, wet roads and windscreens. Around water, this can make observable features beneath the surface easier to distinguish where water clarity, light and viewing conditions permit. The lens also reduces high-energy visible light reflected from white and blue objects and scattered short-wavelength blue light associated with haze. It filters ultraviolet and blue light at wavelengths up to 430 nm.
The lens is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Anti-reflective coating: Reduces distracting reflections from the back surface of the polarised lens.
Oleophobic coating: Helps reduce smudges and makes dirt, oil and moisture easier to remove.
T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, EN.166F.
ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lens must remain intact during testing.
EN.166F
Confirms that the frame and lens have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which the lens must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
