The Grey lens reduces brightness and general glare in strong sunlight while keeping colours relatively close to their natural appearance. Its fixed 15% light transmission is intended for bright outdoor conditions rather than indoor or substantially reduced-light environments.
The frame combines a rectangular lens shape with a false keyhole-style nose bridge and an enveloping Base Curve 8 profile. Lightweight Triloid™ Nylon construction keeps the overall frame mass low for active use.

The Wiley X Contend Grey is suited to bright-day motorcycle use, cycling, trail activities and general outdoor recreation when a lightweight, close-fitting frame is preferred.
The dark fixed tint is not intended for indoor or substantially reduced-light environments. Customers moving through significantly different lighting conditions should consider a photochromic or interchangeable-lens configuration. Those prioritising glare reduction from water, wet roads or other reflective surfaces should choose a lens explicitly identified as polarised.

Grey
15% light transmissionThe Grey lens provides 15% light transmission, reducing brightness and general glare in strong sunlight while keeping colours relatively natural. It does not add the stronger colour emphasis associated with contrast-enhancing tints. The lens is not identified as polarised. It should therefore not be expected to provide the same reflected-surface glare reduction as a polarised filter.
The lens is made from Selenite™ polycarbonate and blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays. The T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and surface damage but does not make the lens scratch-proof.

Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact requirements. These include tests using a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact under the specified conditions.

Confirms that the complete eyewear has undergone a defined European impact assessment using a specified steel ball. The frame must remain intact, and the lenses must remain secured without shattering under the stated test conditions.
