Designed primarily for deep-water fishing in intense sunlight, the Wiley X Alpine combines an 11% light-transmission CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Blue Mirror lens with a ventilated Gloss Crystal Grey high-wrap frame. Its polarised glare reduction, airflow system and moisture-responsive contact points support active use around water. The complete frame-and-lens system has also been assessed against a defined American military fragment-impact requirement.
Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal glare reflected from water and other shiny surfaces. CAPTIVATE™ technology increases contrast, while the Grey lens base keeps most colours close to their natural appearance and makes green tones more distinct.
The high-wrap frame combines integrated airflow channels with semi-hooked temples and hydrophilic rubber contact points. These features help manage condensation and support stability as movement and moisture increase.

The Dynamic Ventilation System directs airflow through integrated side channels and behind the lens to help manage condensation. Semi-hooked temples and rubber nose and temple contact points support a stable fit. The hydrophilic rubber is designed to provide more grip as moisture increases.
The CAPTIVATE™ lens manages selected wavelengths by separating overlapping blue, green and red light. This increases contrast and helps colours and visual differences appear more distinct. The Grey base keeps most colours close to their natural appearance while making green tones more noticeable. Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal light reflected from surfaces such as water, wet roads and windscreens. The lens filters selected blue light reflected from water. It also reduces scattered short-wavelength blue light associated with haze and filters ultraviolet and blue light at wavelengths up to 430 nm. Around water, reducing surface glare can make observable features beneath the surface easier to distinguish where water clarity, light and viewing conditions permit.
The 2.5 mm lens is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.

T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.
