The Wiley X Ultra combines a 13% CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Rose Gold Mirror lens with a medium-wrap Gloss Crystal Blush frame. Polarisation reduces glare reflected from water and other shiny surfaces, while the Green lens base makes green and yellow tones more distinct. This combination is suited to bright-day fishing, hiking and general outdoor use. The lens has a fixed tint for strong daylight; it does not adapt its transmission as conditions change.
The Rose Gold Mirror lens combines polarised reflected-glare reduction with colour filtering that increases the distinction of green and yellow tones. This provides a practical combination for water-based activities and contrasting outdoor scenery.
Its fixed 13% light transmission suits intense sunlight and other bright daytime conditions. It is not intended for indoor or substantially reduced-light environments.
Reduces reflected glare from water and other shiny surfaces.
Makes green and yellow tones more distinct across contrasting outdoor scenery.
Suited to intense sunlight and other bright daytime conditions.
The Base Curve 6 frame is less enveloping than a high-wrap design.
Combines 100% UVA and UVB protection with anti-reflective, oleophobic and scratch-resistant treatments.
The complete eyewear has undergone ANSI and European impact testing.
The Ultra Rose Gold Mirror is suited to bright-day fishing and other water-based activities where reflected-glare reduction is important. Its emphasis on green and yellow tones also supports hiking and general outdoor use in contrasting landscapes. Daytime driving is a credible secondary application because polarisation reduces reflections from wet roads and windscreens.
Customers needing eyewear for indoor or substantially reduced-light conditions should choose a lighter lens. Those wanting a lens that changes transmission in response to UV exposure should choose an explicitly photochromic configuration.

The lightweight Triloid™ Nylon frame has a Gloss Crystal Blush finish and a medium-wrap Base Curve 6 profile. This shape provides a less enveloping fit than high-wrap eyewear, which may suit customers who prefer a more moderate wrap.

The CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Rose Gold Mirror lens provides 13% light transmission and uses a Green base. It reduces selected orange and blue peaks so that green and yellow tones appear more distinct, helping increase separation across contrasting outdoor scenery. Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontally reflected light from water, wet roads, windscreens and other shiny surfaces. CAPTIVATE™ technology separately manages selected blue, green and red wavelengths to make colour differences and contrast more noticeable. The lens also filters selected short-wavelength blue light that can contribute to atmospheric haze.
The lens is made from Selenite™ polycarbonate and blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Its anti-reflective coating reduces distracting reflections from the back surface, while the oleophobic treatment helps limit smudges and makes oil, moisture and dirt easier to remove. The T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and surface damage but does not make the lens scratch-proof.
This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, EN.166F.
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact requirements. These include tests using a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lens must remain intact under the specified conditions.
Confirms that the complete eyewear has passed a defined European low-energy impact test in which the lens must remain secured within the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
