The Wiley X Spear Dual Lens protective goggles include three interchangeable two-layer shields: Clear, Grey and Light Rust. The WX Dual Lens System helps reduce fogging caused by temperature differences between the inside and outside air. A removable Facial Cavity™ Seal, adjustable Matte Black goggle frame and defined military fragment-impact testing support demanding tactical use.
The Dual Lens designation describes the construction of each shield rather than the number supplied. Each interchangeable shield uses two layers that help separate the temperature difference between the air inside and outside the goggles, reducing the likelihood of fogging. An anti-fog coating and symmetrical ventilation provide additional fog-management support.
Clear, Grey and Light Rust shields allow the same goggles to be adapted for untinted reduced-light, bright outdoor and contrast-enhancing conditions. A removable Facial Cavity™ Seal helps reduce the entry of wind, dust, debris and peripheral light.
The adjustable SPEAR elastic strap has a Tri-Glide™ system and quick-release key connections for securing the goggles during use.

Clear, Grey and Light Rust options adapt the goggles to substantially different light conditions.
A removable Facial Cavity™ Seal and symmetrical ventilation help manage environmental intrusion and airflow.
Compatible with night vision equipment and separately sold ARC and Team Wendy EXFIL® rail attachment systems.
The SPEAR elastic strap uses a Tri-Glide™ system for length adjustment and quick-release key connections.
The Matte Black configuration is listed as APEL approved and has NATO Stock Number 4240-01-600-1785.
The Spear Dual Lens goggles are suited to tactical and professional activities involving changing light, temperature differences, airborne irritants and the use of helmet-mounted or night vision equipment.
Their fog-management features are particularly relevant where shifts in temperature or activity may encourage condensation. The Facial Cavity™ Seal helps limit environmental intrusion but does not create a completely sealed enclosure.

The adjustable Matte Black goggle frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon and is designed for medium to 2XL head sizes. Its non-glossy finish gives it a subdued appearance, while the removable Facial Cavity™ Seal forms a soft foam barrier around the eyes.

The supplied SPEAR elastic strap uses a Tri-Glide™ adjustment system and quick-release key connections. The goggles are NVG compatible, while separately sold ARC and Team Wendy rail attachment systems allow integration with compatible ARC rails and Team Wendy EXFIL® 2.0 and 3.0 helmet rails.
The Clear shield allows a high proportion of available light through without adding a tint. It is intended for indoor use and reduced-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, haze and overcast weather.
The Grey shield reduces intense glare and brightness while keeping colours close to their natural appearance. It is intended for strong sunlight and other bright outdoor conditions.
The Light Rust shield filters blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where distinguishing details and differences between objects may otherwise be more difficult.
Each shield uses the two-layer WX Dual Lens construction and has a hard, anti-fog coating. The shields are made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Their T-Shell™ treatment helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.
This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432A, EN.166B, STANAG 2920/4296.
Assesses the complete goggles against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the goggle frame and shield must remain intact during testing.
Assesses the complete goggle-and-shield system against a defined American military fragment-impact requirement using a .15 calibre projectile travelling at 636–647 km/h.
Assesses the complete goggles against a defined medium-energy impact test using a 6 mm, 86 g steel ball travelling at 432 km/h. The shield must remain intact and secured within the frame.
The product specification identifies the Spear Dual Lens goggles as having passed these requirements.
