The Wiley X Saber Advanced Vermillion configuration combines a 45% light-transmission shield with an adjustable Matte Black frame. The contrast-enhancing tint is intended to help targets stand out in medium- to low-light conditions, while the complete frame-and-shield system has been assessed against a defined military fragment-impact standard.
Product description
The Vermillion shield increases contrast between targets and their surroundings, making visual differences easier to distinguish where available light is moderate or limited.
This configuration is fitted with the Vermillion shield, while the interchangeable system allows a compatible shield to be fitted for other conditions.
Telescoping temples and a shapeable 360° wire-core nose piece allow the fit to be adjusted for different wearers. An elastic strap provides another way to secure the eyewear, while NVG compatibility allows the frame to remain in place when used with night vision goggles.

Vermillion
45% light transmissionThe Vermillion shield increases contrast to help targets stand out from their surroundings. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where visual differences may otherwise be more difficult to distinguish.
The shield is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection. Its T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432(GL), EN.166F.
ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and shield must remain intact during testing.
MIL-PRF-32432(GL)
Evaluates the complete frame-and-shield system against a defined military fragment-impact standard using a .15 calibre projectile travelling at 702–724 km/h.
EN.166F
Confirms that the frame and shield have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which the shield must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
