The Wiley X Saber Advanced Light Rust configuration combines a 52% light-transmission shield with an adjustable Matte Black frame. The contrast-enhancing tint is intended for medium- to low-light conditions, while the complete frame-and-shield system has been assessed against a defined military fragment-impact standard.
Product description
The Light Rust shield filters blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. This can make details and differences between objects easier to distinguish where available light is limited.
This configuration is fitted with the Light Rust shield, while the interchangeable system allows a compatible shield to be fitted for other conditions.
Telescoping temples and a shapeable 360° wire-core nose piece allow the fit to be adjusted for different wearers. An elastic strap provides another way to secure the eyewear, while NVG compatibility allows the frame to remain in place when used with night vision goggles.

Light Rust
52% light transmissionThe Light Rust shield filters blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where details and differences between objects may otherwise be more difficult to distinguish.
The shield is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection. Its T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and shield must remain intact during testing.
MIL-PRF-32432(GL)
Evaluates the complete frame-and-shield system against a defined military fragment-impact standard using a .15 calibre projectile travelling at 702–724 km/h.

Confirms that the frame and shield have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which the shield must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
