The Wiley X Nerve is a protective goggle system supplied with interchangeable Clear and Grey shields. Its adjustable elastic strap, top-down ventilation and compatibility with night vision and selected helmet-rail systems support tactical use across bright outdoor and untinted reduced-light conditions. The complete goggle-and-shield system has undergone defined American military fragment-impact testing. This configuration does not include a contrast-enhancing shield for medium- to low-light conditions.
The Clear shield provides 89% light transmission for indoor settings, dawn, dusk, haze and overcast conditions. The Grey shield provides 15% light transmission, reducing brightness in strong sunlight while keeping colours relatively natural.
The Nerve combines a close-fitting goggle frame with an elastic strap featuring Tri-Glide™ adjustment and quick-release connections. Top-down ventilation promotes airflow, while an anti-fog coating provides an additional measure against misting. These features help manage condensation but do not guarantee fog-free performance.
Clear and Grey cover untinted reduced-light and bright outdoor conditions.
The elastic strap combines Tri-Glide™ length adjustment with quick-release frame connections.
Promotes airflow through the goggle system to help manage condensation.
Compatible with night vision goggles and separately obtained helmet-rail attachment systems.
Helps the shields resist misting caused by humidity and temperature changes.
NATO Stock Number 4240-01-544-4259 supports standardised procurement and inventory management.
The complete goggles have undergone ANSI, military fragment-impact and European medium-energy impact testing.
The Nerve two-shield set is suited to tactical, defence and law-enforcement users moving between strong daylight and indoor, overcast or untinted reduced-light environments. Its adjustable retention, ventilation and equipment compatibility are relevant when the goggles are worn with tactical helmets or night vision equipment.
Customers who need contrast enhancement in medium- to low-light conditions should consider a compatible Light Rust shield or a Nerve configuration that includes one.

The lightweight Triloid™ Nylon frame has a Matte Black, non-glossy finish and a high-wrap Base Curve 7 profile. The adjustable fit is intended for medium-to-large head sizes, although fit will vary between wearers.
The lightweight Triloid™ Nylon frame has a Matte Black, non-glossy finish and a high-wrap Base Curve 7 profile. The adjustable fit is intended for medium-to-large head sizes, although fit will vary between wearers.
The elastic strap uses a Tri-Glide™ system for length adjustment and quick-release key connections for removal from the frame. Separately obtained Wiley X ARC Rail and Team Wendy rail attachment systems allow connection to compatible tactical helmets.
The frame is also compatible with night vision goggles. Fit and interaction with helmets, rail systems and night vision equipment may vary according to the equipment and wearer.
Top-down ventilation permits airflow through the goggle system. The goggles should not be treated as a completely sealed enclosure, and ventilation does not guarantee fog-free performance or complete exclusion of fine particles.
The Clear shield provides 89% light transmission without adding a tint, helping colours retain their natural appearance. It is intended for indoor environments, dawn, dusk, haze, overcast weather and other conditions where a dark shield may reduce useful visibility.
The Grey shield provides 15% light transmission, reducing brightness and general glare while keeping colours relatively natural. It is suited to strong sunlight and bright outdoor conditions rather than indoor or substantially reduced-light environments.
Both shields are made from Selenite™ polycarbonate and block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. The anti-fog coating helps resist misting but does not make the shields fog-proof. The T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and surface damage without making them scratch-proof.
This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432A, EN.166B.
Assesses the complete goggles against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact requirements. These include tests using a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the goggle frame and shield must remain intact under the specified conditions.
Assesses the complete goggle-and-shield system against the defined American military fragment-impact requirement for its product category.
Confirms that the complete goggles have undergone the defined European medium-energy impact assessment applicable to goggle systems.
