Designed primarily for deep-water fishing in intense sunlight, the Wiley X Founder combines an 11% light-transmission CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Blue Mirror lens with a lightweight Gloss Crystal Grey frame. Its polarised glare reduction supports bright daytime use around water.

Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal glare reflected from water, wet roads, windscreens and other shiny surfaces. CAPTIVATE™ technology increases contrast, while the Grey lens base keeps most colours close to their natural appearance and makes green tones more distinct.
The medium-wrap Base Curve 6 frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon. This configuration is suited to customers who want a fishing-focused polarised lens in a less enveloping frame than a high-wrap design.

CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Blue Mirror
11% light transmissionThe CAPTIVATE™ lens manages selected wavelengths by separating overlapping blue, green and red light. This increases contrast and helps colours and visual differences appear more distinct. The Grey base keeps most colours close to their natural appearance while making green tones more noticeable. Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal light reflected from surfaces such as water, wet roads and windscreens. The lens filters selected blue light reflected from water. It also reduces scattered short-wavelength blue light associated with haze and filters ultraviolet and blue light at wavelengths up to 430 nm. Around water, reducing surface glare can make observable features beneath the surface easier to distinguish where water clarity, light and viewing conditions permit.
The lens is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Anti-reflective coating: Reduces distracting reflections from the back surface of the polarised lens.
Oleophobic coating: Helps reduce smudges and makes dirt, oil and moisture easier to remove.
T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lens must remain intact during testing.

Confirms that the frame and lens have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which the lens must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
