The WX Citadel three-lens set combines Clear, Grey and Light Rust lenses with a lightweight Matte Black frame. Its interchangeable tints cover bright, variable and low-light conditions, while the complete eyewear system has been assessed against a defined American military fragment-impact requirement.
Product description
The WX Citadel allows the lens tint to be changed as visibility and light levels change. Grey reduces glare in bright sunlight, Clear provides high light transmission where a dark tint is unnecessary, and Light Rust increases contrast in medium- to low-light conditions.
The Matte Black frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon.
The complete frame-and-lens system has undergone defined civilian impact and military fragment-impact testing. ISO 12312-1 separately addresses relevant sunglass requirements, including optical performance, product classification and user information.

The WX Citadel three-lens set is well suited to hunting, shooting and tactical activities that move between bright outdoor conditions, indoor areas or lower light as the weather changes. The three-tint configuration provides more flexibility than a single fixed tint when several lighting environments may be encountered during the same activity.

Clear
89% light transmissionThe Clear lens allows a high proportion of available light to reach the eyes without adding a tint, helping colours retain a natural appearance. It is intended for indoor use and low-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, haze and overcast weather.
Grey
15% light transmissionThe Grey lens reduces intense glare and brightness while keeping colours close to their natural appearance. It is intended for strong sunlight and other bright outdoor conditions.
Light Rust
52% light transmissionThe Light Rust lens filters blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where distinguishing details may otherwise be more difficult.
All three lenses are made from Selenite™ polycarbonate, providing the strength and durability needed for demanding optical safety testing. Their T-Shell™ scratch-resistant coating helps limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof. Each lens also provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.

ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.
MIL-PRF-32432A
Assesses the complete frame-and-lens system against a defined American military high-speed fragment-impact requirement, with test velocities set according to the eyewear category.
ISO 12312-1
Sets requirements for sunglasses intended for normal wear and driving, including optical performance, product classification and user information.
