The Wiley X Bravo combines a 13% light-transmission CAPTIVATE™ Black Mirror lens with a lightweight Matte Black/Graphite Grey full-frame design and removable side shields. It is intended for customers who need bright-light sunglasses that can add a physical barrier beside the lenses for work-related tasks.

The removable side shields cover part of the open area beside the lenses, reducing the gap between the eyewear and the sides of the wearer’s face. This makes the Bravo more relevant than conventional sunglasses for worksite tasks where the sides of the eyes may otherwise remain more exposed.
The CAPTIVATE™ Black Mirror lens is designed for intense sunlight and general daytime outdoor use. Its Grey base keeps colours close to their natural appearance, while selected wavelength filtering increases contrast and helps visual details appear easier to distinguish.
The side shields can be removed when the additional barrier is unnecessary.

Recommended use
The WX Bravo is particularly relevant when worksite activities make an additional physical barrier beside the lenses useful. The removable design also allows the same frame to be used as everyday sunglasses when that barrier is not required.
The Black Mirror lens is particularly relevant to daytime driving and general outdoor use in intense sunlight and other bright conditions.

The removable side shields reduce the open area beside the lenses but do not create a completely enclosed frame. Their physical barrier should not be treated as a guarantee against every lateral hazard. Tested impact performance remains limited to the complete-eyewear assessments described under Safety standards.

CAPTIVATE™ Black Mirror
13% light transmissionThe CAPTIVATE™ lens manages selected wavelengths by separating overlapping blue, green and red light. This increases contrast and helps colours and visual differences appear more distinct. The Grey base reduces brightness in intense sunlight while keeping colours close to their natural appearance. The lens is suited to daytime driving and general outdoor use in bright conditions. It also reduces scattered short-wavelength blue light associated with haze and filters ultraviolet and blue light at wavelengths up to 430 nm.
The lens is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Anti-reflective coating: Reduces distracting reflections from the back surface of the lens.
Oleophobic coating: Helps reduce smudges and makes dirt, oil and moisture easier to remove.
T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, ISO 12312-1.
ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.
