With 11% light transmission, polarised glare reduction and filtering suited to water-reflected blue light, this configuration is intended for intense sunlight, deep-water fishing and other bright daytime activities.
Product description
The CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Blue Mirror lens reduces glare from reflective surfaces and excess blue light reflected from water. Its neutral Grey base keeps most colours close to their natural appearance, while CAPTIVATE™ technology increases contrast and makes green tones more distinct.
These characteristics give the lens a focused role in deep-water fishing and other bright daytime activities where glare from water, wet roads or windscreens may interfere with the view.

CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Blue Mirror
11% light transmissionThe CAPTIVATE™ lens manages selected wavelengths by separating overlapping blue, green and red light. This increases contrast and helps colours and visual differences appear more distinct. The Grey base keeps most colours close to their natural appearance while making green tones more noticeable. Polarized Filter 8™ reduces horizontal light reflected from surfaces such as water, wet roads and windscreens. The lens also reduces excess blue light reflected from water and scattered short-wavelength blue light associated with haze. It filters ultraviolet and blue light at wavelengths up to 430 nm.
The lens is made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Anti-reflective coating: Reduces distracting reflections from the back surface of the polarised lens.
Oleophobic coating: Helps reduce smudges and makes dirt, oil and moisture easier to remove.
T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, EN.166F.
ANSI Z87.1
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lens must remain intact during testing.
EN.166F
Confirms that the frame and lens have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which the lens must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
