The Wiley X Vapor three-lens set combines Clear, Grey and Light Rust lenses with a lightweight, adjustable Matte Black frame. The interchangeable configuration covers bright, untinted reduced-light and contrast-enhancing conditions, while the complete eyewear has been assessed against a defined American military fragment-impact requirement.
The WX Vapor provides three interchangeable lenses with distinct roles. Grey reduces brightness and glare in strong sunlight, Clear allows high light transmission without adding a tint, and Light Rust increases contrast in medium- to low-light conditions.
All three lenses fit the same lightweight Triloid™ Nylon frame, allowing the eyewear to be adapted as lighting conditions change. A shapeable nose piece allows the fit to be refined for different nose bridges.
The broad lighting range, adjustable frame and defined fragment-impact testing make this configuration particularly relevant to tactical, defence, law-enforcement, airsoft and hardball activities.
Clear, Grey and Light Rust options support different light conditions using the same frame.
The Grey lens provides 15% light transmission and reduces glare and brightness in strong sunlight.
The Clear lens provides 89% light transmission where a dark tint may be unsuitable.
The Light Rust lens provides 52% light transmission and increases contrast in medium- to low-light conditions.
The shapeable nose piece allows the fit to be refined for different nose bridges.
This configuration has been assigned a NATO Stock Number for standardised procurement and inventory management.
The WX Vapor three-lens set is suited to activities where lighting may change substantially. Grey supports bright outdoor use, Clear suits indoor and untinted reduced-light environments, and Light Rust provides a contrast-enhancing option when available light is more limited.
The interchangeable lenses, adjustable nose piece and defined military fragment-impact testing are particularly relevant to tactical, defence, law-enforcement, airsoft and hardball use.

The frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon and has a shapeable nose piece that allows the fit to be adjusted for different nose bridges. Its Matte Black finish gives it a subdued, non-glossy appearance.

The Clear lens allows a high proportion of available light through without adding a tint, helping colours retain a natural appearance. It is intended for indoor use and reduced-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, haze and overcast weather.
The Grey lens reduces intense glare and brightness while keeping colours close to their natural appearance. It is intended for strong sunlight and other bright outdoor conditions.
The Light Rust lens filters blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where distinguishing details and differences between objects may otherwise be more difficult.
All three lenses are made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Their T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.
This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432A, EN.166F.
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.
Assesses the complete frame-and-lens system against a defined American military high-speed fragment-impact requirement. Test velocities vary according to the applicable eyewear category.
Confirms that the frame and lenses have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which each lens must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
