The Wiley X Vapor Comm combines slim COMM temples with Clear, Grey and Light Rust lenses in one adjustable Matte Black frame. The temple design is intended for use beneath earmuffs and other ear-mounted hearing or communication equipment, while the three interchangeable lenses support changing light conditions. The complete eyewear has also been assessed against a defined American military fragment-impact requirement.
The Vapor Comm’s defining feature is its slim temple design. The reduced profile limits bulk beneath earmuffs and other ear-mounted hearing or communication equipment, making the frame particularly relevant when several items must be worn around the head and ears.
Clear, Grey and Light Rust lenses allow the same frame to be adapted across bright, untinted reduced-light and contrast-enhancing conditions. A shapeable nose piece provides further adjustment for different nose bridges.
The combination of equipment compatibility, changing-light flexibility and defined fragment-impact testing is particularly relevant to tactical, defence, law-enforcement, airsoft and hardball activities.

Interchangeable Clear, Grey and Light Rust lenses allow the same frame to be adapted for different light conditions.
The shapeable nose piece allows the fit to be refined for different nose bridges.
Triloid™ Nylon provides a durable, non-metal frame with low overall weight.
All three lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection and have a scratch-resistant T-Shell™ coating.
The complete eyewear has been assessed against MIL-PRF-32432A.
The WX Vapor Comm is suited to tactical, defence, law-enforcement, airsoft and hardball activities where protective eyewear may need to be worn with ear-mounted hearing or communication equipment. Its three interchangeable lenses allow the eyewear to be adapted as activities move between bright outdoor, indoor and reduced-light environments.

The frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon. Its slim COMM temples are designed for use beneath earmuffs and other ear-mounted hearing or communication equipment, while the shapeable nose piece allows the nose fit to be adjusted for different wearers.

The Matte Black finish gives the frame a subdued, non-glossy appearance.
The Clear lens allows a high proportion of available light through without adding a tint, helping colours retain a natural appearance. It is intended for indoor use and reduced-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, haze and overcast weather.
The Grey lens reduces intense glare and brightness while keeping colours close to their natural appearance. It is intended for strong sunlight and other bright outdoor conditions.
The Light Rust lens filters blue light to help reduce glare and haze while increasing contrast. It is intended for medium- to low-light conditions where distinguishing details and differences between objects may otherwise be more difficult.
All three lenses are made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate. Their T-Shell™ coating helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.
This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432A, EN.166F.
Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact tests. These include a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.
Assesses the complete frame-and-lens system against a defined American military high-speed fragment-impact requirement. Test velocities vary according to the applicable eyewear category.
Confirms that the frame and lenses have passed a defined low-energy impact test in which each lens must remain in the frame and must not shatter under the specified conditions.
