Product description

The Photochromic Grey lenses change tint in response to UV intensity. They remain lightly tinted where UV is absent and darken into a sunglass tint under direct UV exposure, reducing the need to change lenses as conditions vary.

A removable CLICK A.I.R gasket forms a soft barrier around the eyes to help limit wind, dust, debris and peripheral light. Its quick-click ventilation setting introduces airflow around the gasket to help manage condensation. An anti-fog coating provides additional resistance to misting caused by humidity and temperature changes.

The Base Curve 8 frame provides a close-fitting, high-wrap profile. Rubberised temples and nose pads add grip at the frame’s contact points. The frame is made from lightweight, durable Triloid™ Nylon and has a subdued, non-glossy Matte Black finish.

Its quick-click ventilation setting allows additional air to circulate around the lenses. This airflow and the anti-fog coating help manage condensation but do not guarantee fog-free performance.

Photochromic Grey

81% to 17% light transmission

The lenses provide 81% light transmission where UV light is absent. Direct UV exposure darkens them progressively to a 17% light-transmission sunglass tint. The resulting tint at any point depends on the intensity of the UV reaching the lenses. The lenses are not identified as polarised and should not be expected to provide the reflected-surface glare reduction of a polarised filter.

They are made from strong, durable Selenite™ polycarbonate and provide 100% UVA and UVB protection.

Anti-fog coating: Helps resist misting associated with humidity and temperature changes but does not guarantee fog-free performance.

T-Shell™ coating: Helps resist scratches and limit surface damage, although scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof.

Protection backed by defined testing

This configuration is assessed against ANSI Z87.1, EN.166S.

ANSI Z87.1

Assesses the complete eyewear against defined high-velocity and high-mass impact requirements. These include tests using a fast-moving 6.35 mm steel ball and a 500 g pointed falling projectile; the frame and lenses must remain intact during testing.

EN.166S

Assesses the complete eyewear using a specified steel-ball impact. The lenses must remain within the frame without shattering, and the frame must remain intact under the defined test conditions.
