The lenses have a high-performance on slightly cloudy/overcast days, as well as they reduce orange and blue peaks, which allow greens and yellows to appear more vivid. Additionally, they reduce glare across reflective surfaces, and have an ideal Visible Light Transmission % (VLT) for changing light conditions.

All Wiley X Frames are made out of virtually indestructible Triloid nylon.
Full Frame Sunglasses with a base curve 6 have lenses that are less curved than a pair of base curve 8 sunglasses, which gives them a medium wrap fit. This means that the sunglasses will not enclose your face in the same way, but rather sit flatter against your face. If you need a pair of sunglasses with high prescription, a pair of base curve 6 sunglasses are especially good, as the flatter base curve is better at containing the high prescription.
Sunglasses with a base curve 6 will not block the sun in your peripheral field of view to as great an extent, as a pair of sunglasses with a base curve 8. However, the base curve 6 has a fit, which fits most head sizes and will, as such, be perfect on most faces.
You can find sunglasses with a base curve 6 on our more lifestyle-oriented models, where focus is on a stylish design and a comfortable fit, rather than functionality, which, especially, is the case with our Climate Control sunglasses.
Lens Coating
Anti-Reflective Coating Wiley X utilizes a proprietary oleophobic coating on all Captivate™ polarized lenses to create a smoother lens surface, which helps to keep dust, dirt, oil, snow and water from sticking to the lens. This in turn helps prevent smudging and water spots, making the lenses much easier to clean than an uncoated, standard lens.
Hard Coating The anti-reflective coating eliminates distracting reflections on the back surface of the lenses and ensures optimal conditions for the polaroid filter. Is only available with our polaroid lenses.
Oleophobic Coating Scratch resistant coating protects against damage and extends the life of the lens.
